I realized that I haven't posted anything for a while (almost a whole month!) and I feel like I don't have anything to post, which today, might be true. Nothing important has happened to me today, but over the past month there have been a few random happenings that are somewhat noteworthy.
It's funny how we tend to focus so much on the here an now. Many a person will say, "oh nothing's happening.." when really only two days ago they won the lottery. After something is over I tend to forget about it.... if only excitement happened in retrospect.
So in lieu of some more interesting thoughts that swim in my mind, I will simply provide you with some pictures from some random happenings through the last months...
My car was paintballed! Luckily our neighbor saw it, told us, and we wiped the paint of while it was still wet. There might be a little bit of pink still in the grill though.
I quit working at Taco Time and subsequently stopped drinking 32 oz of soda everyday. I'm always looking out for my health.
I worked for a handful of weeks at an industrial ceramics facility. I worked with a mason who built/repaired kilns. This is a picture of an arch (over the kiln door) that I made... woot.
At one point in the month we took some BYU graduate family pictures... These may or may not be a surprise for my mother for an upcoming holiday. I took this one and edit it a little for fun... (click on it for big size)
To come in a future post: my new desk, my new tv, and some thoughts on other things :P
Mostly my mind is random. Sometimes full of useful information, often... not. However 'Writing maketh an exact man' and so I will continue.

overkill
So we bought a new car. We looked at a dealer, and didn't really find anything we loved, plus the salesmen are so annoying. We looked at a bunch of private sellers and we found a car that we think we'll love! Our primary requirement was having good gas milage. Our new Ford Focus gets 36 highway, and it has a lot of add-ons. In fact, it's a little overkill, we certainly don't need a 6-disk mp3 capable stereo system... but it's nice. It has leather seats, cruise control, power locks/windows, and it's orange.

Bank of ***** or why I hate Wells Fargo
(insert your own pluralized inappropriate word into the space above)
Apparently Wells Fargo's Car loan department does not accept a legal contract as proof of residence. Instead I had to call Rocky Mt. Power and have them fax over my account statement, proving that I do live at my apartment.
Then an hour later they said that Stephanie also had to have different proof of residence (even though they had previously said that her pay-stub would be fine, since it did in fact have her address on it)! The branch manager was apologetic and helpful in suggesting a credit union where he knew a manager who was really good. It was actually the Wells Fargo branch manager that called the car loan dept. an inappropriate word that inspired the title to this post.
Because they were so dumb, we had to miss out on the Bees game, which I was ok with at first thinking we would have a new car.. but now I'm just infuriated with the whole process. Interestingly enough the branch manager and our call seller both suggested the same credit union (UCCU) and said it would be really fast, with low rates, so I will hopefully have a post with our new car's pictures by tomorrow night!

Day 2
Tuesday: beach combin'
So because of the exceptionally difficult morning going to the dentist and such my day was slightly dampened. Okay, mostly I was just lazy, couldn't eat so I didn't have energy, badda boom. We did got to the beach though where I took several pictures of my broha skim boarding and such.

So I did a lot of thinking today. I was driving my mom's honda Accord and as I left our driveway I tried to push the automatic transmission stick into neutral and jiggle it around (as I usually do with my car) and when it wouldn't budge to the side I remembered that it was automatic and not manual. Then I noticed the knob for adjusting the side mirrors, it was a very simple and easy to use knob, much nicer than the one on my car. This got me thinking of the perfect hybrid car. Taking elements from each of the cars that I drive I devised what would be the best car ever!
First, it's a manual, and it would drive just like my Mitsubishi, but then it has the space and seating of our Suburban with of course the gas mileage of our Prius. (Okay, I know that is so impossible right now, but this is a perfect car after all.) Then it would have the audio control system/capabilities of the Pruis with the sound system of the suburban. It would have adjustments and controls (seat position, mirrors, CC, brights, etc.) like the Honda (as well as the pick-up of the Honda) and a dash display like the Mitsubishi. Finally it would also be just as cute and fun-loving as my Mitsubishi. That's pretty much the perfect car, and I love it. The end.
